Q1. Why are you in #Belltown?

A. I'm a working tango dancer in the Seattle area. We're lucky to have places like this that actually support the arts, because there's very few places that will actually pay for dancers. I feel incredibly lucky to have a weekly dance gig with my amazing partner George!

Q2. Favorite thing about Belltown?

A. Belltown has been through cycles, ever since I was a teenager. It's easy to get here via public transportation, which is rare in Seattle, especially for a place with such incredible community. I have a lot of friends who run business here, and it's amazing to see the degree that they all support each other.

Q3. What's your message for the Mayor and Council about Belltown?

A. We have to keep Belltown affordable, and especially for people to be able to live here. This area has a kind of urban density that is great, and businesses here depend on that density, but we can't lose the artists, the rehearsal space. The density here is unique for the Seattle area, in that we have a lot of businesses still that aren't just catering to one economic group.
