Calling all CREW for the BOAT!

Updated: Mar 22, 2019

Hey there BOAT members, we need your help! We're starting the process of recruiting a CREW (aka local volunteers) to help us run the Belltown Oversight and Advisory Team (the BOAT) for Rise Up Belltown.

Here's what this means:

  1. Being on the BOAT means you're listed on the website as a supporter.

  2. Being on the CREW means downloading Slack (a messaging app) to your phone, and joining the conversations about what we're up to and how we're doing it.

Why is this important?

  1. Growing as an organization means we need to organize and improve how we communicate with each other. Slack is an app that many local Belltown businesses already use with their employees, which is one reason (among several) for why we've decided to use Slack.

  2. Rise Up Belltown's lead organizer is about to have a tiny child, and cannot do all this work by themselves, which means that we need a tool to help us organize and recruit and plan and talk with more volunteers who can step up to get things done for their community.

Get on the BOAT.

Get on the CREW.

*Already on the BOAT? You can email, text, or call EHC and ask to be invited to the Rise Up Belltown Slack app. You will then be sent an email invite, which brings you into the conversation.

What is Slack, you might ask? Here's video:
